About You
You've got a combination of a strong background / education and very strong and recent operational experience, preferably in a fast-growing, dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities

Install and develop strong financial systems and controls.

Develop internal reporting systems commensurate with the growth and expansion of the business.

Design key performance indicators to guide management in decision-making.

Investor reporting.

Assist with opening of overseas offices including negotiations for offices, administrative contracts, staffing and financial integration.

Support the CEO in fund-raising activities.

Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts.

Deal with all financial reporting issues, ensuring compliance to UK and international accounting standards and co-ordinate with auditors and tax advisors. Ensure integrity of financial reporting systems.

Work closely with lawyers on company law issues in the UK and other jurisdictions.

Liase with back office accounting function.

Advise on VAT and other taxation issues.
Requirements
-
Degree from a top University.

Successful candidate will be seeking to take a step up from a number 2 position to a FD role with a high growth global business.

Hold an internationally recognised accounting qualification, preferably gained with a large accountancy firm. 3-5 years post qualification experience in a commercial organisation.

Strong technical accounting and tax skills. Knowledge of international accounting standards expected and knowledge of international tax issues advantageous.

Strong Excel skills and demonstrated experience building financial models.

Experience of designing financial reporting systems.

Strong IT systems experience.

Able to communicate at board level, representing finance at management meetings, liaising with IT professionals and driving initiatives through the business.

Experience in computer software / technology businesses.

Prepared to travel.

Knowledge of a foreign language desirable.
